Penampang is a small town within the West Coast Division of Sabah. The name Penampang, means ‘big rock’ in Kadazan language and the reason behind the name was that big rocks were easily found around the area a long time ago. The main town of the district is Donggongon and main attraction would be the Kadazandusun Cultural Association hall (KDCA) where major cultural festivities are held.
